Aromas of black currant, blackberry, pie spice, pomegranate, cassis liquor, and quartz. The palate is dominated by dark fruits, tobacco and dark chocolate that turns to a spicy yet plush finish that is stunningly balanced.
I loved the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Stormy Weather, a fresh, pure, focused 2018 that has a sweet core of cassis and blueberry fruits as well as notes of iron, tobacco, and leafy herbs. It’s medium to full-bodied on the palate, has silky tannins, and solid structure. Unfortunately, there are a scant 424 cases produced, but it’s a gorgeous wine from winemaker Cameron Woodbridge that’s well worth seeking out.— 96pts
